In Soviet times, every housewife was on first-name terms with her oven. Equal attention was paid to both meat products and home baking.
They baked everything from the simplest cookies in cucumber brine to the exquisite “Truffle” in egg yolks.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to bake cookies according to a forgotten recipe.
You will need:
- eggs (or boiled egg yolks) - 3 pcs.;
- sugar - 60 g;
- butter - 120 g;
- flour - 150 g;
- vanilla sugar - 1 packet;
- cocoa and powdered sugar - 2 tbsp each
How to cook
1. Grind the yolks of boiled eggs into crumbs.
2. When ready, mix with melted butter, regular sugar and vanilla.
3. Mix until smooth and add flour, then knead the dough.
4. Form truffle-shaped cookies of the same shape and size, put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, and then place them on a baking sheet.
5. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes, then sprinkle the hot cookies with a mixture of cocoa and powdered sugar. Enjoy!
