To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking and to make them easy to peel, you need to follow certain rules for their preparation.
Yulia Arkhipova, an expert in the field of cooking for the online publication Belnovosti, a chef and fourth-class baker, talks about the nuances of cooking eggs.
How to Boil Eggs Properly
First, eggs should be placed in cold water, not boiling water. If you put cold eggs from the refrigerator into boiling water, they will most likely crack.
It is advisable to take the eggs out of the refrigerator half an hour before cooking so that they warm up to room temperature.
You need to add some salt to the water. After boiling, reduce the heat, this also helps prevent the shell from cracking.
As for the cooking time, seven minutes is enough (after the water boils). After this time, turn off the heat, leave the eggs in hot water for a couple of minutes, then place them in cold water.
