Oatmeal cookies are just one example of homemade baked goods that can be eaten during Lent or a diet.
Here is just such a recipe, which does not require eggs, dairy products, or butter.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to make lean oatmeal cookies.
You will need:
- oatmeal - 1 cup;
- flour - 1 cup;
- vegetable oil - 5 tbsp;
- honey - 3 tbsp;
- water - 50 ml;
- soda - 0.5 tsp;
- salt, cinnamon to taste.
How to cook
1. Pour water into a saucepan, add vegetable oil and honey, heat over low heat until the honey dissolves, after which you can add spices and soda.
2. Heat the mixture until foam appears, stirring constantly, but do not bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
3. Add oatmeal and stir. Leave the mixture for 10 minutes to soften the flakes, then add some flour, salt and stir.
4. Add the rest of the flour to make a moderately thick and soft dough.
5. Line a baking sheet with parchment, shape the cookies and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes. Enjoy!
