Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to make the German apple pie "Streusel".
You will need:
- apple - 4 pcs.;
- one egg;
- flour - 400 g;
- butter - 190 g;
- sugar - 250 g;
- vanilla sugar - 3 tsp;
- cinnamon to taste;
- baking powder - 3.5 tsp.
How to cook
1. Cut the apples into slices and sprinkle with cinnamon, then leave to heat for 10 minutes in a saucepan over low heat with a small amount of water.
2. At this time, mix butter, regular and vanilla sugar, and egg.
3. Separately mix the flour with baking powder, then add to the liquid mixture and knead the dough.
4. When the dough is ready, divide it into two parts. Place one in a greased form, then add the apples, and crumble the second part of the dough on top.
5. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 175 degrees for 50 minutes.
