The French make soup and jam from onions. In Rus', traditional cuisine has not spread so far, but it can also please.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-category baker told how to prepare the most delicate pie with onions - a traditional dish of Russian cuisine.
You will need:
- onions 5 pcs;
- eggs 5 pcs;
- vegetable oil 250 ml;
- butter 80 g;
- wheat flour 200 g;
- sour cream (20%) 2 tbsp. l;
- salt, spices to taste.
How to cook
1. Heat the butter, mix with sour cream, add salt and when you get a homogeneous mass, sift the flour.
2. Add vegetable oil and knead into a soft and elastic dough.
3. When ready, cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.
4. Peel the onion, cut into half rings or cubes, mix with spices and fry in butter until golden brown.
5. Divide the dough into two parts, roll out one and place it in the pan to form sides.
6. Place the cooled onion inside, cover with the second layer of dough on top and pinch the edges, making several punctures with a fork.
Brush with egg and place in oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for 30-40 minutes.
The pie is served cold. Enjoy your meal!
