Boiling shrimp is considered a classic cooking method, but it is quite boring.
An alternative would be frying, but to fry deliciously, it is better to do it in batter.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare beer batter for frying shrimp.
You will need:
- shrimps (king or tiger) - 500 g;
- beer (light) - 250 ml;
- vegetable oil - 125 ml;
- flour - 6-7 tbsp;
- lemon - 1 pc.;
- eggs - 1 pc.;
- garlic - 3 cloves;
- spices and seasonings to taste.
How to cook
1. In a bowl, mix the egg, salt, sugar, spices, and then sift the flour.
2. Stir until the lumps dissolve and pour in the beer.
3. Mix the batter and let it sit for 20 minutes.
4. At this time, peel the defrosted shrimp and marinate them for 15 minutes in a mixture of vegetable oil, garlic and lemon juice.
5. When ready, dip the shrimp in batter and fry in a large amount of hot vegetable oil (like deep-frying) for 5 minutes.
Serve with vegetables and herbs. Enjoy your meal!
