Fried cheese can be served as a stand-alone appetizer or as an addition to vegetable or meat salads.

The best cheeses for this purpose, according to chef Yulia Arkhipova , an expert at the online publication BelNovosti, are those with a high melting point, such as Adyghe or halloumi cheese.

Cheese slicing can vary depending on how it will be used. For sandwiches, cheese is cut into thicker pieces, for salads – into small and not very thick slices.

For a cheese plate, it is best to cut the cheese into cubes or sticks.

Once you're done slicing, sprinkle the cheese with dried herbs such as basil and oregano, or herbes de Provence.

Fried cheese turns out especially tasty if you cook it on a grill, but if this is not possible, you can fry it at home in a frying pan.

To make fried cheese, follow these steps.

1. Heat a frying pan over low heat and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

2. Place the cheese slices on a hot surface and fry them, uncovered, until they are browned on one side. Then turn the slices over.

3. Due to the high melting temperature, the cheese does not spread and retains its shape. It is covered with a golden crust, and the herbs added to the butter open up, giving the dish a wonderful aroma and taste.

Fried cheese should be eaten when it is hot.
