What to add to the dough to make pancakes incredibly tender: add porridge – this is no joke

Many housewives conduct all sorts of culinary experiments to make pancakes soft and thin.

The expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, has her own opinion on this matter: she is sure that you can achieve the desired result if you use semolina porridge in cooking.

Here is a list of products, and you will learn how to cook pancakes with semolina by reading the article to the end. You will need:

  • 0.5 cups of semolina;
  • 0.5 cups flour;
  • 500 ml milk;
  • 2 yolks;
  • 20 g butter;
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • sugar and salt to taste.

To make pancakes from semolina porridge, first sift the flour. Then prepare a saucepan and a frying pan for frying the pancakes.

Pour milk into a saucepan and place it on low heat. Wait until the milk boils. Once the milk boils, add semolina and reduce heat. Stir and cook the porridge for 3-5 minutes.

Remove the semolina porridge from the heat and add butter. Mix well and cool.

In a large bowl, combine flour, cooled semolina, sugar and salt. Mix until smooth, then add egg yolks at the end.

Now you can start frying the pancakes. Heat the frying pan and grease it with oil before the first pancake. Pour the batter in a thin layer and fry the pancakes on medium heat until golden brown on both sides.

Ready pancakes can be served with honey, sour cream or jam. Enjoy!
