Tartlets with salmon or trout filling are undoubtedly a tasty appetizer, but due to the rather high cost of the product, this dish is usually prepared exclusively for the festive table.
At the same time, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova , tartlets turn out no worse if you use lightly salted herring to prepare them.
For 6 tartlets you will need:
- 200 g herring;
- 3 tablespoons sour cream;
- 1 pack of cottage cheese;
- 2 eggs.
First, start boiling the eggs, and when they are cooked, separate the whites from the yolks - you only need the yolks.
After that, start on the herring. Separate about one fifth of the fillet, cut it into cubes and set it aside.
Now you can start making the herring and curd mousse, for which you need to mince the remaining herring and curd.
Add sour cream and yolks to the resulting mixture, then mix thoroughly.
You can start assembling the tartlets. Fill each of them with the filling, put the diced herring on top and garnish with finely chopped dill.
