Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to cook stewed cabbage in Chinese style.
You will need:
- white cabbage - ½ head;
- ginger (root) to taste;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- garlic - 2-3 cloves;
- a pinch of sugar;
- salt and pepper to taste;
- vegetable oil;
- soy sauce - 2-3 tbsp.
How to cook
1. Let's start with preparing the ginger. Separate the required amount of root, peel, grate or mince.
2. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the ginger for a few minutes, then add the garlic pressed through a garlic press.
3. Peel the onion, cut into cubes or half rings, add to the vegetables in the pan and fry until transparent.
4. Then chop the cabbage – not too finely. Put it in a frying pan and simmer under a lid on low heat until soft.
5. 5 minutes before cooking, add salt, sugar, soy sauce, stir and serve when ready.
