Unfortunately, not all cooks make beautiful and appetizing boiled potatoes: sometimes it happens that an incomprehensible mass of half-boiled pieces ends up on the plate.
As an excuse, the hapless cooks say something about the wrong variety of potato.
But in reality, one should blame one’s own skill, or rather the lack of it, for failure.
So today we will tell you about secret techniques for cooking potatoes - with them they will always come out beautiful, smooth and appetizing.
The first secret to cooking potatoes correctly is to choose medium-sized tubers, approximately the same size - this way you won't have to cut the potatoes additionally, and they will all cook evenly.
Before you start cooking, soak the peeled potatoes in water for half an hour to remove excess starch - this was the second secret.
Then the potatoes (and this is the third secret) should be placed in boiling, not cold, water and cooked until soft over medium heat.
Once the potatoes are ready, they must be immediately removed from the water and not left in it – and this was the last, fourth secret of ideal boiled potatoes.
