Rarely will a man agree to eat oatmeal. For some reason, it is generally accepted that this is a dietary, and therefore more feminine, product.
And it’s completely in vain, because oatmeal contains a lot of vitamins and will be useful not only for women.
But explaining all this is too complicated and long, it’s easier to cheat and cook oatmeal cutlets for your men.
It is difficult to guess that there is not a gram of meat in the cutlets, and this usually only happens when all the cutlets have already been eaten.
Products
- oatmeal - 1 cup;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- raw potatoes - 1 pc.;
- fresh carrots - 1 pc.;
- a few cloves of garlic;
- water (just boiled) - 0.5 cups;
- green onions, dill, parsley, spices to taste.
Cooking technology
Pour boiling water over the flakes, add salt and pepper and leave for 20 minutes to infuse.
Peel the potatoes, onions and carrots, wash and grate them on a fine grater.
Chop the garlic and herbs as finely as possible with a knife.
Add vegetables and greens to the softened and swollen oatmeal. Mix the resulting mince thoroughly and carefully. The mass should not be too thick, but not too runny.
Form oatmeal patties with a spoon and place them on a preheated frying pan, previously greased with vegetable oil.
Fry the cutlets over high heat until golden brown, that is, about 1 minute on each side.
After this, reduce the heat to a minimum and, covering the pan with a lid, simmer the cutlets for another 5 minutes until done.
Oatmeal cutlets can be served with sour cream as a separate dish, or they can be used as an addition to mashed potatoes or a fresh vegetable salad.
These cutlets fully justify their name and are in no way inferior to meat ones.
