Dried fruit compote with added ginger is not only tasty, but also, of course, a healthy drink.
What is remarkable is that the drink prepared according to this recipe is equally good both warm and cold.
Here is a list of ingredients you will need to prepare it (the quantities are given for 1 liter of water):
- a small piece of ginger;
- 1 handful of dried cranberries;
- 150-200 g dried apricots;
- 1 tablespoon sugar;
- apple syrup – to taste.
The first to be dealt with is ginger, which needs to be peeled and cut into small pieces.
After this, pour water over the ginger and dried fruits and wait until it boils.
The compote should be cooked on low heat for no more than 10 minutes.
After you remove the pan from the stove, add sugar (can be replaced with honey) and apple syrup (optional).
Leave the compote to steep under a closed lid so that the drink cools down a little and acquires a richer taste.
