Cheese with honey is a seemingly simple combination, but even it requires following a number of rules – this is the only way you can reveal the taste of both ingredients.
Culinary professionals recommend mixing different flavors, creating real “compositions” of bitter and sweet or mixing sour and tart flavors.
The most successful combinations of honey and cheese
The first place on this list should be taken by a "combo" of acacia flower honey and Adyghe cheese. The latter can be replaced with Camembert without losing its taste.
If you're a fan of Parmesan or cheddar, pair them with chestnut or buckwheat honey.
The taste of blue cheese will be enhanced by clover honey.
If you have had the chance to taste dark, thick and viscous pine honey, in which you can clearly feel caramel notes, bitterness and the aroma of pine, as a “companion” with which you could go on a gastronomic journey, you can choose any cheese: from Camembert to soft varieties.
Finally, heather honey, which has a slightly bitter aftertaste, will “brighten” the cheese served with a cup of espresso.
