Many people have heard of the existence of salted caramel, but have never eaten it, much less cooked it.
Even fewer people know what to serve this culinary creation with and have no idea that it is French cuisine.
You will need:
- cream (33%) - 120 ml;
- sugar - 200 g;
- salt - 0.5 tsp;
- water - 60 ml;
- butter (82.5%) - 40 gr.
How to cook
1. First, heat the sugar and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over low heat until it comes to a boil.
2. Then add the butter, remove the pan with the caramel from the heat, stir and add the warm cream, mixing everything with a spatula.
3. Now add salt – rock or sea salt.
The finished salted caramel can be served with pancakes or poured into a jar and, once cooled, stored in the refrigerator for no more than 2 weeks.
