Mashed potatoes are a standard side dish that, at first glance, would not surprise a seasoned gourmet.
However, one additional ingredient can transform a simple home-cooked dish into a restaurant-quality meal.
And that secret ingredient is… fruit.
It turns out that the fruit additive significantly improves the taste of the puree.
What fruit are we talking about?
Mashed potatoes will be much more appetizing if they contain not only potatoes, but also apple.
It is desirable that the fruit is not too sweet. A sour apple is an ideal choice.
Cut the fruit into several small pieces and put the resulting mass into a pan of water in which the potatoes are boiled for mashed potatoes.
One apple is enough for 300 grams of potatoes.
After the vegetables and fruits have finished cooking, the water should be drained. Instead, milk should be poured into the pan.
Next, the contents of the container must be processed using a masher.
The result will be a unique and incredibly tasty puree.
