Meat dishes are always present on the festive table. It is rare that anyone serves cutlets now, and chops are also not surprising.
Nowadays, gourmet dishes, such as meat rolls with dried fruits and nuts, are becoming increasingly popular.
You will need:
- pork - 800 gr;
- bacon - 250 gr;
- prunes - 150-180 g;
- walnuts (kernels) - 70 g;
- salt, pepper, paprika, dry garlic to taste;
- vegetable oil - 1 tbsp;
- sour cream - 1 tsp;
- tomato paste - 1 tsp.
How to cook
1. Cut the meat into chops, place on a board, cover with film and beat.
2. Collect the pieces into one large layer, overlapping them, add salt, spices, garlic, and aromatic herbs.
3. Cut the bacon into thin slices and place it on one edge, which will be the core of the roll.
4. Next, add the steamed prunes (you can chop them with a blender), and sprinkle the dried fruit with coarsely chopped roasted walnuts on top.
5. Roll into a tight roll, secure with a thread, and fry on all sides in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil until a crust forms.
6. Wrap in foil and place on a baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40-60 minutes.
When ready, coat the roll with a mixture of sour cream and tomato paste and leave it in the oven for 10 minutes, but without wrapping it in foil.
Can be served hot or as a cold appetizer.
