Very often parents teach children not to throw away stale pieces of bread. We grow up, but the habit remains – and so a whole pile of “crackers” gradually accumulates in the kitchen.
If you haven't yet figured out how to "eco-friendly" it, we recommend you take a look at this recipe.
We'll tell you how to make a khachapuri-style snack from stale bread.
To prepare the dish you will need:
- 200 g of bread or loaf;
- 3 eggs;
- 150 ml milk;
- 70 g cheese;
- salt and ground black pepper to taste.
The bread needs to be broken into small pieces, then add eggs and milk to the bowl and, deftly using a fork, turn this mass into a more or less homogeneous mixture.
Don't forget to salt and pepper the mixture, after which you need to add the cheese grated on a coarse grater.
The "dough" is ready. Heat the frying pan, grease it with vegetable oil and spoon the thick mass onto the hot surface.
Fry the pancake-like things on both sides until golden brown. Housewives who regularly use this recipe claim that the prepared croutons with a hint of cheese are very tasty.
