How to Make Pickled Apples: Tastier Than Sauerkraut

It is unlikely that apples picked from your own garden will be able to lie in your cellar for up to a year, whereas soaked apples can handle this task.

In addition to its ability to be stored for a long time, such a preparation also has an incredible taste and brings tangible benefits to the body.

So what are we standing around for? Let's get to making pickled apples as soon as possible.

To do this, you will need, first of all, a barrel and the fruit itself.

Place the apples in a container and sprinkle dry mustard and salt on top (all ingredients are taken by eye, depending on the amount of fruit).

In a separate container filled with hot water, you need to dissolve the honey.

Use the resulting honey water to pour over the apples, then close the barrel with a lid and wait for one month.

Pickled apples prepared according to this recipe will easily last up to six months (let's put it simply: they should be eaten by summer), but if you put them in the refrigerator for storage, it is believed that the preparation will not lose its taste for up to one year.
