Almond milk can be safely included in the diet of people who are lactose intolerant, consider themselves vegans, or just want to try something new.
What is especially nice is that you are quite capable of preparing such a product yourself.
For this, you will need a glass of raw almonds. The first useful tip: choose raw materials that have a light brown shade, without dark spots. Nuts are supposed to be dry, heavy and dense.
Cover the almonds with water, and in the morning drain the liquid and rinse the nuts.
Now the softened and soft almonds should be crushed using a blender (don't forget to add a glass of water to the bowl). To get a gruel from almonds, 3-4 minutes is enough.
Pour another 3 cups of water into the thick mixture and continue whisking for another 3 minutes.
All that remains is to strain the drink through cheesecloth and improve its taste with salt, honey or any other sweetener.
Remember: almond milk should be stored in the refrigerator, after pouring it into a glass container, and for no more than 5 days.
A final useful note: the pulp left over from making milk can be useful for baking cookies, for example.
