As you know, onions make excellent stir-fries. But what about green onions?
It turns out that tender green onions, browned in a frying pan, can be used not just as an additional ingredient, for example, in soups, but also as a full-fledged side dish if you add spices and white wine to it.
However, no matter how you plan to use fried green onions - as a seasoning or as a side dish, you should follow a couple of rules.
Firstly, do not keep the onion on the fire for a long time, otherwise it will no longer be able to boast of its tenderness.
Secondly, use a heavy-walled frying pan and turn the flame to medium.
This way you can preserve not only the color of the onion, but also the vitamins it contains.
Thirdly, use well-melted butter for frying, which, however, can be replaced with vegetable oil or even lard.
And fourthly, in order for the onion to retain its structure, it is recommended to cut it into pieces 3-5 cm in size.
By the way, you can easily store fried green onions in the refrigerator, transferring them to a jar and adding them to taste to this or that dish.
