Cold soup in hot weather is a real salvation. You can satisfy your hunger, thirst, get maximum vitamins and besides, it is simply delicious and you don’t have to sweat over the plate.
For many, this dish is familiar from childhood, but not everyone can cook it correctly. The reason is the main ingredient - beetroot.
Let's figure out how to cook cold soup in Belarusian style.
To prepare you will need:
- beetroot - 250 g;
- cucumber - 200 g;
- egg (boiled) - 3 pcs.;
- sausage - 200 gr;
- green onions;
- radish - 100 g;
- fresh dill;
- sour cream.
How to cook
Actually, you don’t need to cook anything, in the same way as when preparing borscht or another hot dish.
All preparation consists of boiling the beets. If the classic way, then in a saucepan and in salted water. You can try baking in the oven.
Then the root vegetable should cool down, after which it is peeled and grated on a coarse grater. Then the grated beetroot is transferred to boiled and cooled water.
The remaining ingredients are simply washed and cut into small cubes.
The greens are chopped thoroughly.
You can add salt, sugar, citric acid or vinegar to taste. Vegetables and other ingredients are added to the base before serving.
But there is no place for potatoes in this dish, just like in okroshka.
