There are at least three reasons why you shouldn't add vegetable oil to pasta while cooking.

Many cooks add this product, believing that it will not harm the dish. This is true, but it does not provide much benefit.

Butter and pasta

Experienced housewives do not add oil for 3 reasons.

1. Dishes become greasy, making them harder to wash.

2. The calorie content of the dish increases.

3. The layer of oil will prevent the sauce from soaking into the pasta (if sauce is added).

Oil is usually added to prevent pasta from sticking together. But this trick does not work if the pasta is of poor quality.

Pasta will not stick together even without oil if it is made from durum wheat and does not contain anything extra (only flour, salt and water).

Adding oil is allowed when the water has been drained. But if the pasta is to be supplemented with sauce, then oil is not used.

Flushing

There are two reasons why some housewives have abandoned this procedure.

1. Cold water causes pasta to lose its bright flavor. The dish becomes bland and watery.

2. After rinsing, the pasta cools down very quickly.
