This marinade does not require vinegar, mayonnaise, lemon, kefir or wine.

Many lovers of meat cooked on the fire prefer to buy marinated shashlik. Not everyone is ready to wait several hours until the main ingredient reaches the desired condition.
However, it is worth paying attention to how Armenians cook shashlik. The classic recipe allows you to spend only 45 minutes on the entire process. This is exactly the time you need to prepare the grill and coals.
Ingredients
The list of products consists of:
- 1 kg of meat;
- 500 g onions;
- 300 ml vegetable oil (unrefined);
- salts;
- dry spices (hops-suneli, cilantro, allspice and black pepper, coriander).
Preparation
1. First, pour oil into an enamel bowl. Mix the product with dry spices. Armenians always add crushed allspice and black pepper, as well as coriander, to the marinade.
2. Leave the mixture for 15-20 minutes so that the oil is saturated with the smell of the spices.
3. While the oil is steeping, cut the small onions into large rings. The vegetable is not peeled.
One onion is chopped as finely as possible, and then mixed with salt to produce more juice.
4. Next, the seasoned butter is mixed with the salted onion. The ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
5. Next comes the meat. The product is cut and placed in the marinade. The meat is thoroughly mixed so that the liquid is well absorbed.
