This popular dish with pineapple will be especially appreciated by those who like the combination of meat and fruit.
Pineapple and cheese complement the meat perfectly, giving it softness, juiciness and a special aroma during the cooking process.
Ingredients
The list of products consists of:
- pork (neck) – 500 g;
- canned pineapple – 8 rings (250 g);
- onions – 2 pcs.;
- cheese (hard) – 200 g;
- olives (pitted);
- mayonnaise;
- salt, black pepper (ground).
How to prepare the dish
1. Cut the pork into portions. Cut the meat across the grain, 1.5-2 cm thick. If you cut it lengthwise, the pork will be tough.
2. Wrap each piece in cling film and beat on both sides.
3. Cut the onion into half rings and grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
4. Cover the baking tray with parchment paper and place the pork pieces on it. Grease the meat with mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
5. Then put the pineapple on top and sprinkle everything with cheese. Place an olive in the center of the pineapple circle.
6. Bake the meat for 30-40 minutes at 180 °C until golden brown.

Some cooks replace mayonnaise with sour cream (15% fat) or Greek yogurt.
