How to make a potato delicacy: they say Pushkin loved this dish

Potatoes are considered a simple vegetable, but housewives manage to prepare culinary delights even from them.

For example, this most delicate delicacy, which was served at the table in the family of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. The recipe, although ancient, is prepared quite quickly and easily.

To prepare you will need:

  • 500 g potatoes;
  • 100 g cheese;
  • 200 ml cream;
  • 60 g butter;
  • 5 g fresh parsley;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

How to cook

The potatoes need to be washed and boiled in their skins, then peeled and each tuber cut into two halves.

To make it easier to peel potatoes boiled in their skins, before placing the tubers in a saucepan, you need to make a transverse cut in a circle on each one. After boiling, all you have to do is pull the halves of the skin, and the potatoes will be peeled instantly.

Next, heat the frying pan and fry the tubers in butter until golden brown, adding salt to taste.

Meanwhile, bring the cream to a boil and add the cheese (you can grate it on a fine grater) and mix until a homogeneous mass is formed.

The mixture should remain on the stove, but should not boil.

Place the fried potato halves in a baking dish and pour over the hot creamy cheese sauce.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and bake the tubers for 10-15 minutes.

Before serving, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
