Crispy and golden onions are a great addition to both first and second courses.
This simple, but properly prepared ingredient will add zest to the treat and make the taste unique.
But it is not always possible to make crispy and golden onions. Sometimes something goes wrong during the sautéing process, and the product does not meet the desired qualities. There are several nuances that will help prepare the best quality onions.
How to fry onions until they are golden and crispy
First, the onions are cut into half rings. Then they are placed in a container and 1 teaspoon of salt is added (for 2 onions).
Next, close the container and shake it well. Then leave the container for 3-5 minutes so that the onion releases juice.
Add 2 tbsp of flour to the onion. Close the container, shake and let it sit for a few minutes. Then move the onion to a sieve and shake gently to remove excess flour. If there is any excess product, it may burn during frying.
Place a saucepan, stewpan or deep bowl on the stove. Pour 150-200 ml of sunflower oil into the dish.
Heat the oil thoroughly, then add the onion. If there is not enough room for all the onion, fry it in portions. Stir the onion constantly with a spatula. After a few minutes, you will see that the onion has acquired a beautiful golden color.
When the onion has reached the desired condition, it is removed from the dish and placed on a thick layer of paper towel. It should absorb excess oil.
After a few minutes, the onion can be used to prepare various dishes.
