Most often, housewives prefer to boil the vegetable.

But this method has one drawback: during the cooking process, beets lose some of their flavor and vitamins.

Therefore, there is another method of preparing root vegetables for salad.

What does it consist of?

It is best to bake the vegetable in the oven. Its taste will be very bright, which will improve the quality of the salad itself. But you need to do it correctly, as there is a high risk of overdrying the root vegetable.

If your beetroot is large enough, it would be wiser to peel it and cut it into medium-sized cubes. Otherwise, the root vegetable simply won’t bake.

The miniature vegetable can simply be washed thoroughly using the hard side of a sponge and then dried a little.

Afterwards, we put the beets in the oven. However, do not forget to cover the root vegetable with foil: this is how the product will remain juicy and tasty.

It is best to bake beets at 190 degrees. The cooking time is approximately 60 minutes. However, it is better to check the beets with a toothpick: in some cases, you need to bake the beets longer.
