A drink with the unusual name “Yantar” based on honey and lemon, which is something between homemade kvass and sbiten, is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent.
To prepare it, for 1 liter of water you will need:
- 1 lemon;
- 0.5 cups of sugar;
- 2 tablespoons honey;
- 1-2 tablespoons raisins;
- 5 g yeast.
First, you should squeeze the lemon thoroughly to get all the juice out of it.
Pour water over the remaining crusts and cook for several minutes.
Now the liquid should be cooled and raisins, honey and syrup made from a glass of water and 0.5 cups of sugar should be added to it.
Return the container with the drink to the fire and wait until the contents of the container boil.
All that remains is to wait until the Yantar becomes warm and add lemon juice and yeast to it.
Take the drink to a warm place, and after 24-36 hours remove the foam that has formed, close the container tightly with a lid and leave it in the cold for 3 days - "Yantar" is ready.
