Pea puree is a healthy, tasty and very budget-friendly dish, so many housewives try to include this valuable side dish in their diet.
However, sometimes it is extremely difficult to “persuade” the legume to boil to a puree state without preliminary manipulation.
That's why cooks advise leaving peas in cold water overnight. But housewives add soda during the process of cooking legumes.
However, all these difficulties can be avoided if you know about one clever cooking method.
How to Make Pea Puree Without Baking Soda and Long Soaking
As it turns out, there is one interesting cooking method that allows you to achieve the desired result.
First of all, we do the traditional thing, thoroughly washing the peas.
Next, we put the peas in a saucepan. We add the same amount of boiling water – the legume should be completely covered with water.
We use a lid and cook the peas on low heat for 15 minutes. Then we add the same amount of cold water and cook for the same amount of time.
After that, add cold water again. After 15 minutes, the peas will be the consistency you need.
