How to Make Lemon Salt: The Perfect Seasoning for Fish, Salad Dressings, and Sweet and Sour Sauces

Chicken dishes, fried or baked fish, salad dressings and sweet and sour sauces – lemon salt goes well with everything.

This seasoning is very easy to prepare, but it will become a valuable assistant for many culinary endeavors of housewives.

Ingredients:

  • salt (sea, finely ground) – 100 g;
  • zest of 1 lemon;
  • lemon juice – 15-20 ml;
  • turmeric – ½ teaspoon.

How to prepare

1. Wash the lemon thoroughly with a sponge or a special brush. Pour boiling water over the fruit, then dry it and grate the zest on a fine grater.

2. Mix lemon juice with turmeric. Then add zest and sea salt. Mix the ingredients thoroughly so that the salt is thoroughly soaked and acquires a new color.

3. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and spread the mixture evenly over it. Preheat the oven to 180 °C, then turn off the heat and leave the mixture for 7-10 minutes. During the process, take out the salt several times, stir it, and put it back.

4. After the oven, let the salt sit for 1-2 hours, then pour it into an airtight container and put it away for storage with other seasonings.

The recipe can be supplemented a little. The zest is grated with garlic, and then these ingredients are mixed with salt, and then everything is according to the recipe.
