The universal dough recipe is a real find. With it you can make pies, belyashi, or even roll out pizza.
And if we talk about pies, they can not only be fried in harmful hot vegetable oil, but also baked in the oven quite harmlessly.
Here is one of those recipes that will come in handy even during Lent.
To prepare you will need:
- 300 ml boiled (warm) water;
- 1 teaspoon salt (no heap);
- 1 tbsp sugar;
- 7 g dry yeast;
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil;
- 1 tbsp. vodka;
- 450 g flour.
How to cook
First, sift the flour and mix it with sugar and yeast. There is an opinion that salt should not be mixed with yeast - this negatively affects the fermentation process. Therefore, salt is added during the kneading process or at the end.
Then pour in warm water and the remaining liquid ingredients – vegetable oil and vodka.
The dough is kneaded by hand for 6-7 minutes. This must be done very carefully.
When ready, place the dough in a bowl (they say it’s better to use a glass one), cover with a towel and put in a warm place.
When it rises, you can make pies or buns and then proceed at your own discretion.
