Not all cooks, especially beginners, can divide the cake into several parts.
As a rule, a knife is not suitable for this purpose. Instead of a sharp chef's tool, it is worth using a regular thread.
To do this, visually mark half or one third of the height (depending on how many parts you plan to divide the cake into), and then make a notch here with a knife.
Along the entire radius at the same height, make a shallow groove.
Place the thread into that same improvised groove, then cross the ends of the thread and pull them in different directions.
Don't make any sudden movements - let the applied force be uniform.
Repeat the operation if necessary - if you need to cut the remaining part again.
Thanks to this method, you will get 2 or 3 thin and even cakes at once in no more than 5 minutes.
