The dinner is healthy and nutritious and can be prepared in just 15 minutes if you happen to have a jar of canned beans and tomato sauce lingering in the fridge.
This option will be appreciated by both supporters of healthy and wholesome food, and Christians during Lent.
To prepare you will need:
- 400 g beans (canned);
- 1 large onion;
- 1 medium carrot;
- vegetable oil;
- tomato paste;
- salt and pepper to taste.
How to cook
Chop the onion, grate the carrot and fry first the onion and then both vegetables together in vegetable oil.
When ready, add tomato paste (to taste), spices and salt to the pan.
When the mixture heats up, add water (about 100 ml) and stir.
Next, open the canned beans, drain the excess liquid, add the beans to the pan, stir and cook under the lid for 3-5 minutes over moderate heat.
