It is common practice to freeze or dry the dill harvest for the winter. Moreover, the first option has many advantages, since it allows you to preserve the attractive appearance, juicy taste and aroma of dill.
As practice shows, there are other options besides drying and freezing.
We'll tell you how to prepare an excellent seasoning for the winter.
The preparation prepared according to this recipe can be used for any dishes. From an omelet for breakfast to exquisite culinary masterpieces.
How to proceed
First, you need to wash the greens and let the excess moisture drain.
After this, the dill needs to be finely chopped, placed on a baking sheet in a thin layer and dried in the oven, but not dried into dust and ashes.
Next, take the garlic – 5-7 medium cloves or to taste – put it through a press and add salt in a ratio of approximately 1:1.
It is better to use regular table salt, coarse and not iodized.
Mix the garlic with salt, add dill and leave at room temperature for 30 minutes to soak the salt.
If necessary, the seasoning can be dried in the oven. For storage, put it in a glass jar with a tight lid, only when the components crumble in your hands.
