Vegetables are usually frozen during the harvesting period, when they are still fresh, after being picked from the garden. The proposed options should help out when the stocks start to spoil.

When it comes to beets, they can start to rot, dry out, and wrinkle. Here are three ways to prepare the root vegetable that everyone will like.

1. Fresh

There is nothing complicated. If you notice in time that the vegetables are starting to spoil, all you have to do is wash, peel, wrap in cling film, and place the beets in the freezer.

However, it is much more convenient to freeze chopped vegetables, so it will be more practical to grate the beets, cut them into cubes or strips, or chop them in some other way that suits your future cooking plans.

2. Boiled

First, the beets are washed, boiled as usual, or baked in the oven, then peeled and grated on a coarse grater. Such a preparation can be used to prepare dressing for borscht, salads or used in other dishes.

3. In the form of puree

A rather rare method, but no less convenient. The puree is prepared from raw beets, which are cut into cubes and chopped using a blender or meat grinder.

To freeze, pour the mixture into silicone molds or into an ice cube tray. Later, you can make cream soup or something else from it.
