Dried mushrooms have saved housewives more than once. They are easy to store, although you have to prepare for cooking in advance. If you do not soak the mushrooms in advance, your plans may be spoiled.
Another question that often arises is: should they be boiled after soaking?
Interesting point
It is not necessary to dry the mushrooms and then store the whole preparations. Often housewives grind them into powder, which is then used when preparing broths, sauces and other dishes.
However, it is better to add whole mushrooms to salad, goulash, soup, porridge and other dishes. And if we are talking about dried mushrooms, then after soaking they must be boiled.
The soaking time varies from 3-12 hours, depending on the size, type and preparation technique.
How long to cook
Most often, forest mushrooms are dried. And they must be boiled, but the amount of time is determined by the duration of soaking.
So, if the mushroom was soaked well for several hours, then it will cook in 15 minutes.
If you reduce the soaking time, the processing time increases to 25 minutes.
If we talk about specific types of mushrooms, then porcini mushrooms (which are dried most often) are boiled for at least 20-25 minutes, regardless of how long the mushrooms were soaked.
All large and fleshy mushrooms also take longer to cook than their smaller relatives.
