A novice cook may think that baking is a complicated matter. But it is not so if you know a few simple rules for making delicious and tender donuts. You don't even need an oven for this.
Making airy donuts (or baursaks) is very simple. You need to prepare a frying pan and a few available ingredients.
You need to take:
- cold milk, 1 glass,
- hot water, 0.5 cups,
- sugar, 1 tbsp.,
- yeast, 1.5 tsp,
- yolk, 2 pcs.,
- salt, 1 tsp,
- flour, 4 cups,
- melted butter, 2 tbsp.
How to cook
First, combine milk and water in a deep bowl. Immediately after that, you can add yeast and sugar. Mix everything until the grains are completely dissolved.
Next, mix in the yolks and salt. Gradually add flour to the dough, but not completely.
Lastly, you need to stir in the butter, and immediately after that you can add the remaining flour.
The dough should be sticky, soft and yellow.
The mass should be left under the lid for an hour and a half. This is necessary so that the dough has time to rise.
The dough then needs to be rolled out and cut into squares. But don't put the dough in the frying pan right away. The pieces should sit for about 15 minutes.
After that, you can proceed to frying in a large amount of vegetable oil. Periodically, such donuts need to be turned over during cooking.
The result is a delicious, aromatic addition to tea.
