Not everyone cooks shashlik only in spring or summer; many people want to try meat on a skewer in winter.
To do this, you don't have to shake the snow off the grill. You just need to prepare a special marinade and light the oven.
In this case, it is better to take turkey meat and cook it on short wooden skewers.
Ingredients:
- turkey fillet – 0.5 kg;
- cherry tomatoes – 8 pcs.;
- red onion – 1 pc.
For the marinade:
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- sugar – 2 teaspoons;
- salt – ½ teaspoon;
- vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons;
- water – tablespoon;
- soy sauce – 2 tablespoons;
- ground ginger – to taste;
- red or hot pepper (ground) – to taste.
Step by step preparation
1. Cooking begins with the marinade. The garlic cloves are crushed and then combined with salt and ginger.
2. Add sugar, butter, soy sauce, hot (red) pepper. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
3. Cut the turkey fillet for shashlik. Place the meat in the marinade and add water. Mix the mixture and leave for at least 30 minutes.
Separately, soak the shashlik skewers in cold water for the same amount of time.
4. Add onions and tomatoes along with the meat, but if desired, you can also cook it with other vegetables.
5. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Cook the kebabs for 35-40 minutes. But don't forget to turn them over during the process so that they cook evenly.
