Many experienced cooks recommend cooking vareniki with this filling. The thing is that it does not leak out during cooking, as it happens in other cases.
We are talking about dried apricots - kuraga. The dough products are filling. They can be served as a dessert or even replace a whole meal with such dumplings.
Step by step preparation
1. Mix butter (1 tbsp.) with a glass of flour. Add salt (1/2 tsp.) and pour boiling water (1/2 glass).
2. Next, knead a homogeneous dough, and then add the second glass of flour, after sifting it first.
3. Mix the dough first with a spatula and then with your hands. Then cover it with a towel.
4. Dried apricots (100 g) are poured with boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Walnuts (100 g) are peeled and then, together with dried fruits, are passed through a meat grinder or chopped with a blender.
5. Roll out the dough, form the dumplings, cook for 5-10 minutes, and then serve, for example, with sour cream.
