Why Yelling at a Child Is Pointless: A Common Mistake Parents Make

Many mothers and fathers raise their voices at their children too often.

And there is an explanation for this: some children behave badly and do not obey, which causes their parents to “lose their temper.”

However, this approach must be abandoned.

The fact is that shouting is absolutely useless when communicating with a child. Contrary to popular belief, the effectiveness of such an “educational technique” is zero.

Why you shouldn't yell at a child

Firstly, shouting drowns out the meaning of words. The baby reacts only to a raised voice, ignoring the essence of the claims themselves.

Secondly, many children get used to the "increased volume" quite quickly. At first, they still react to the screaming somehow, but then they stop doing so.

Thirdly, more sensitive children perceive the raised voice of their parents too painfully. They begin to worry and be afraid, finding themselves in a state of stress. Such a situation can negatively affect the attitude of a boy or girl towards mom and dad.

Want your child to really hear you and become more obedient? Then stop yelling at him!

Yes, at first it will seem that this approach does not produce any effect.

But then you will understand that calmly making claims and talking in normal tones are more effective from an educational point of view than yelling.
