There are many phrases that are considered “educational” by many parents.

But in reality, not all of these remarks help moms and dads achieve the desired result.

The effect is the opposite: instead of realizing their mistakes and starting to behave better, the boy or girl begins to get irritated and angry.

Don't want to ruin your relationship with your own child?

Then stop using the five “educational” phrases listed below!

"Because we said so!"

Many parents force their children to act in one way or another, but do not provide any arguments for their demands.

"Do as we say. Why? You shouldn't care!" This kind of educational strategy only makes the child angry and less obedient. The child begins to act differently "out of spite."

Don't forget the importance of argumentation!

"Why did you show such a bad result?"

Children get angry if their parents do not appreciate their efforts.

Did your little one fail to win a competition or get a high score on his homework? Don't scold or criticize him for it!

Believe me: your child has already tried. And if you start saying that “this is not enough,” you will upset your child and make him give up.

"All children are like children, but you..."

Comparing your child to other children is a very dangerous technique.

Some children find this kind of parental behavior irritating, while others become insecure.

"You'll understand when you grow up"

A child will not like it if parents do not answer a particular question, citing the child’s inexperience as the reason for such a decision.

“Yes, we are doing this for you…, but you don’t appreciate it!”

Some children feel irritated by such claims, while others feel guilty.

Understand that it was your decision to do certain things. Don't blame the child.
