Every parent dreams that their child’s first steps will become the beginning of a long journey.
But how can we avoid turning the joy of movement into a problem?
It turns out that the right shoes make all the difference - ones that not only please adults, but also take care of the baby’s health.

Size matters
Tight boots or "too big" - both extremes are dangerous. The ideal pair fits snugly around the foot without squeezing the toes.
Check the length and width: there should be a gap of 5-7 mm between the toe of the shoe and the big toe.
Don't trust the size on the label - try it on, ask your child to walk, watch his reaction.
Natural materials are not a luxury, but a necessity
Leather, textile or suede - only these materials allow feet to "breathe", reducing the risk of diaper rash and fungus.
Synthetics create a greenhouse effect, disrupting natural thermoregulation.
Pay attention to the interior trim: the seams and insoles should not rub even during active walking.
Flexibility and reliability are the key to safety
The sole must bend in the toe area, repeating the movements of the foot. A rigid base interferes with the formation of the arch, increasing the load on the joints.
Velcro or laces secure the foot better than elastic bands or zippers, preventing dislocations.
Make sure the shoe doesn't fall off when you stand on your toes - this is a sign of proper fit.
Choosing children's shoes is not a reason for compromise. The health of little feet is formed today, and a comfortable pair of shoes or sandals will become a reliable companion in every new discovery.
