The baby may be born with thick hair or soft fluff. It may even seem that the baby is bald, but this is only at first glance - hair on the head is present in any case.
And it’s worth taking care of your silky locks from the moment your baby is born.
Rules for caring for newborn hair
For washing your hair, choose baby shampoo with a neutral pH. The packaging should say that the composition is allowed to be used from birth.
Don't forget to rinse off any remaining product with clean running water.
You shouldn't wipe your child's head the way we adults do: you can damage his hair and delicate skin. It's enough to use blotting movements with a soft towel.
If a girl or boy has long hair, comb it when it is almost dry. For this purpose, it is worth buying a soft comb made of natural materials.
What not to do
The main prohibition concerns shampoo – some parents believe that adult products can be used to bathe a baby.
It is strictly forbidden to do this: due to dyes, preservatives and fragrances, the child may develop an allergy.
