“I don’t want to!” and “I won’t!”: these are the phrases that parents most often hear from their child in response to a request to help around the house or pick up toys.
There are actually a lot of reasons for this behavior. Children may be bored, they may have difficulty following instructions or even be scared, and they, like adults, may be lazy.
To overcome laziness in a child, parents can take the following steps.
Don't punish your child with work
Helping mom, cleaning up toys and other responsibilities should become a routine for the child, not a punishment.
Otherwise, household chores will be firmly associated with melancholy and irritation in the minds of the “younger generation”.
Maintain a daily routine
If a child gets tired, a bad mood becomes his constant companion.
Probably, each of us has encountered a situation when after a long working day there is not much energy left, and you definitely don’t want to spend it on doing household chores.
Trust the baby
To make your child feel that his participation and help are important to you, give him small tasks more often.
For example, when you go to the store, ask him to pick out tomatoes for a salad and juice to drink on the way home.
