It is unlikely that there will be any parents who will be surprised by this phrase. Moreover, it may sound shortly before the end of the holidays.

Experts advise in such cases to understand the reasons, and not to promise children mountains of gold that education provides.

The main reasons for such behavior, as well as ways to overcome such a mood, were named to the publication 1prof.by by the head of the psychological department of the Mogilev regional center of psychiatry and narcology Irina Baranovskaya.

Reasons

Parents mainly need to pay attention to changes in behavior, such as tearfulness, poor sleep, stomach pain, nausea, headache.

In most cases, this is evidence of childhood neurosis. Otherwise, a convincing conversation is enough.

Neurosis and school

The specialist reminds that attending school is associated with stress, which some children can cope with, while others experience neurotic reactions.

In the latter case, this is evidence of the first-grader’s unpreparedness for school in psychological and physiological terms.

Relationships with classmates, teachers, school workload, and reaction to criticism cannot be written off. This is for children aged 12-13.

And younger schoolchildren are often afraid of a change of environment and the fear of disappointing their parents with their grades or behavior.

What to do

Even if we are talking about neurosis, the specialist assures that there is no reason for panic and despair.

But you can't leave childhood neuroses unattended. You need to see a psychologist or psychotherapist.
