Western experts believe that there should be nothing else in a baby's crib except bedding.
Experts are critical of toys, including soft ones.
After studying statistics on accidents involving children, representatives of the American Academy of Pediatrics published their recommendations.
In addition to the fact that children should sleep separately from their parents and only in a crib, pediatricians have drawn attention to the following points.
1. The child should sleep on a flat and hard surface and exclusively on his back.
The mattress should be so hard that after pressing on it with the palm of the hand, there should be no dents left on the surface.
2. The mattress should be covered with a tightly stretched sheet.
3. There should be nothing in the crib except the mattress and the child during the first six months of the baby’s life.
That is, no blankets, no pillows, no bumpers, no toys.
The best option is to place the baby in a special bag.
It is also not recommended to leave him to sleep in a hat and wrap him up if the room is warm.
Earlier we talked about when it is essential to iron children's clothes.
