According to some experts, the first drawing lessons can be given to a baby immediately after he has learned to sit.

However, it is not so important at what age you decided to introduce your child to art: we offer you the top 5 tips that will help you in this undoubtedly difficult task.

1. Choose clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, such as old shorts and a T-shirt, or any clothes that can easily be washed to remove paint.

It is best to put a special apron on the child to protect him from dirt. It is important that the clothes are comfortable and do not interfere with the baby's free movement.

2. Prepare a comfortable work area: a child’s desk, easel or kitchen table will do.

Make sure the child's work area is well lit. If you are afraid of staining the floor or furniture, cover them with plastic.

3. Don't rush to teach your child to draw a blue sky, green leaves, a yellow sun and white snow. Let him see everything in his own way, because the sky, as we know, is not always blue, and snow can be not only white.

If you impose your opinion on your child from the very beginning, he will not have the opportunity to notice it.

4. Do not criticize the child's work, do not correct it and do not compare it with the work of other children. Praise him, hang the work in a prominent place and arrange exhibitions at home.

5. A child's drawings reflect his inner world. Simple questions about the drawing, such as "What is drawn here?", "Who is drawn in the drawing?", "What is he doing?" etc., can help you better understand the child and identify possible problems - if they exist, of course.
