Trying to prepare a child for the first grade, parents try to teach him to read, write and almost count.
These are all useful skills, of course, but there are qualities that are no less important. Experts remind us that a holiday for parents is a test for a first-grader.
Therefore, in addition to reading, experts advise moms and dads to think about developing the following qualities in children.
1. The child must want to learn, that is, to gain knowledge, and not just change from kindergarten to school.
2. At the same time, a preschooler needs to be taught to control his emotions and behavior. At a minimum, this is about discipline, and at a maximum, willpower.
Very useful qualities and not only for schoolchildren.
3. In a certain sense, a child at this age should be able to take care of himself independently.
Maintain hygiene, be neat, tidy up your room and table, and so on.
4. Don't forget about self-esteem.
There is no need to elevate the talents and qualities of a future first-grader to the rank of a star and a unique individual, but at the very least a preschooler should believe in himself.
5. Perhaps the most important thing is to instill communication skills in the child.
He should be able to communicate with his peers without difficulty, respect his elders and not get lost in a group.
