Not all children willingly agree to sit in a car seat.
Some of the more restless toddlers just don't understand why this is necessary, especially as they get older and it becomes more difficult to sit still.
If you are faced with a similar problem and do not know how to make your child sit calmly in a car seat, start with simple steps.
First, motivate your child by your own example. Always wear a seat belt and emphasize this to your son or daughter.
Secondly, try to ride when the child is tired and wants to sleep, for example, after a long walk.
Thirdly, if you have a long trip ahead of you, don't forget to make frequent stops and get outside.
Fourthly, the child must clearly understand that all trips in the car must take place in a car seat, and this rule must not be violated.
Fifth, try to switch the child’s attention by offering him toys, books or cartoons.
And sixth, try bringing the car seat home, play with it and give your child the opportunity to get used to it and understand that this is his personal seat.
Gradually, even the most active children will get used to the car seat and will feel comfortable and safe during trips.
